An album that created a Powerhouse in the music industry
STOP: Please do not continue unless you have headphones or speakers. I recommend that you be alone for this ride. This is a musical experience. Please do not skip over any media. It’s there for a reason.
Shirtless, Rolls Royce grill and shades. If you’re a rap fan, just seeing this album cover should send shivers down your spine. This album created the monster that we know to day as the Legendary Cash Money Young Money Records Lil Wayne aka Weezy f Baby and the F is for… Well… If you don’t know you’ll learn.
So you don’t think I’m all talk, let’s get into the first song. STOP take a deep breath, relax get a drink/smoke and appreciate these sinister vibes.
Ok, ok, ok… I know you want to listen to that again. That song for me is very reminiscent to Biggie and old Jay Z the way Wayne sets the sinister mafia imagery.
One of my favorite quotes of all time is in this song: “Front line, top rank, ready to die for my shit.”
That line reminds me to never be like these people that fire their employees because cancel culture dictated. That could never be me. Protect your employees, It’s not always about money.
Remember Tony’s line in this scene.
Anyway back to the album… Second song we’re going to take a look at “Fly In” This song pretty much sets the tone for the whole album.
When ever you need motivation you can always count on this song to give you a boost. Just put it on and focus on the lyrics.. Guarantee you’ll get right back on the grind.
YEAH I’M EATIN BUT I GOT A TAPEWORM IN MY TUMMY!
Stay hungry out here.
This album has so many crazy songs we’ll jump right to another one!
“and if the kid ain’t right, let me die in this song” Man If you can’t see right now why lil Wayne is a legend I’m not sure what to tell you.
This album also introduced me to Curren$y, My favorite rapper. I’ll have a post about him soon. Here’s the song that introduced me to him. Got to have a song for the ladies too!
One thing I won’t do is rob people of the gift of discovery so from this point on I won’t be holding your hand.
Go listen to the full album on your own to appreciate it fully. I hope I helped you understand the Lil Wayne “Hype” back in the day.
Weezy F Baby and the F means many things…
