Writing an article about Syria is difficult because there are so many different players involved. Sometimes even I get confused, and if I'm confused, I know most people are completely lost. I tend to stay away from the minutiae when speaking about Syria and mostly stick to broader strategic overviews, where I'm more comfortable. Guess what?
